Acolytes assist
the
Priest and the Lay Ministers in the service. Acolyte service is
one of the best opportunities for a young person to participate in the
service. Anyone, age 10 or over is eligible to serve.

| Altar
Guild |
|
The
Altar Guild prepares the altar and the church for each service. Member
place the Communion elements in the church, arrange the alter
flowers and take care of all linens, candles and brass that are used

Study

Weekly |
At noon
time on Wednesdays, a Holy Eucharist followed by Bible Study is held
An
Evening Prayer and study of Christian writings takes place on
Wednesdays
at 6:30 pm.

| Brotherhood
Of
St.
Andrew |
|
The Brotherhood Of St. Andrew is
an Episcopal men's
organization dedicated to prayer, study and service. Its
goal is to bring men and boys to Jesus Christ. It is the oldest evangelistic
ministry
in
the Episcopal Church. The Christ Church Chapter meets on
the second Saturday of every month in Dun Hall. |

School/Youth
Activities |
You can help The Church School
at Christ Church in a number of ways. You can volunteer to talk to the
children about your faith experience. You can help lead or chaperon a
youth activity, The Church School is always in need of craft
materials.

| Choir |
|
Make
a joyful noise
unto the Lord! Anyone who has a love for music is invited to join. Our
choir sings at the 10:00 am and monthly combined 9:00 am
service. The rehearses every Thursday at
7:30 pm. |
| Commissions |
A
great way to take part in the life of the church is to join a
commission. Every member at Christ Church is eligible to serve on a
commission. There are four commissions at Christ Church:
Finance,
Stewardship, Building and Grounds is responsible for managing
the parish's budget, Stewardship Campaign and property.
Outreach
is
responsible
for
the parish's
outreach
into our community. Commission members promote the Good News of Jesus
Christ in the community. Member help to coordinate our efforts to help
people in the community and to helps others become more involved in the
community.
Inreach helps to develop and support a spirit
of Christian fellowship within the parish. The Inreach commission
overseas the Church School and youth activities. Also this commission
is responsible for parish social activities.
Administration/Programs handles parish communications; Works
with the Rector, Music Director and Wedding Coordinators to manage
parish worship services;
If you are interested in serving. any
member of the Vestry can help you determine what commission is best for
you.

Of
The
King |
The
Daughters Of The King is an order of woman within the Episcopal Church.
The mission of the order is to be the extension of Christ's Kingdom
through Prayer, Service, and Evangelism. The
Christ Church Chapter meets on the third Saturday of every month

Donkey
Committee
|
The
Donkey Committee is responsible for coordinating the activities of
Howard, the Christ Church Donkey. Howard appears at Christ Church on
several occasions each year, including our Christmas Pageant and our
Palm Sunday procession. If you are interested in serving on this
committee, please contact Dave Jackson.

Women |
| The
Episcopal Church Women welcomes all woman in the parish.
The mission of the ECW is to help women in the church carry out
Christ's work of reconciliation in the world and to take their place as
leaders in the parish and in the Episcopal Church. The Christ Church
Chapter meets on the first Sunday of each month after the joint
service.. National

| Lay
Eucharistic Ministry |
Lay
Eucharistic ministers assist with the distribution of the wine and
bread during Holy Eucharist services. Also, these ministers
lead the congregation in prayers and Bible readings. One type of
Eucharistic Minister, the Eucharistic Visitor, are responsible for distributing the Holy Eucharist to the sick and
shut-in who are unable to participate in
Sunday worship.

| Lectors |
Lectors are church members who read appointed
Bible lessons during the services. Lectors often gain a deeper
understanding of the Bible by reading the lessons to the congregation.

| Men's
Ministry |
|
The
Men's Ministry is a service organization at Christ Church. Its members
support the parish through service projects, parish social activities
and fund raisers. |
| Phebe's
Food
Pantry |
| Phebe's
food Pantry offers food to needy families. The pantry is
operated by the Daughters Of The king and is open between 9:00 am -
11:00 am on the third Saturday of the month . The shelves of Phebe's
Pantry are stocked with gifts of food offered by worshipers at each
service. You are invited to offer your gift by placing non-perishable food in the baskets at the entrance to the church. |
| Vergers |
A
Verger
is
a Lay Minister in the church who assists the clergy and helps
to lead processions. Information about the Vergers' ministry can

| Vestry |
The Vestry
is the leadership council of the parish. The Vestry manages the
parish's operations, finances and property. Vestry members work closely
with the Rector to define the mission and direction of the parish.
Vestry members and Wardens are elected at the annual parish meeting.

leadership in the parish, then maybe Vestry service is for you. Please
